XypherSEO Disclaimer
Effective Date: 11 July 2026
Version: 2.0
Applies to: xypherseo.com, the XypherSEO WordPress plugin, the XypherSEO Chrome extension, and all XypherSEO content in any medium
Status of this document
This Disclaimer is incorporated into, and forms part of, the XypherSEO Terms and Conditions. You accept it when you accept those Terms.
Clause 1 of the Terms applies to everything in this Disclaimer: nothing here excludes any right you have under a law that cannot be contracted out of. If you are a consumer in India, the EU, the EEA, the UK, Australia, or New Zealand, read the Country Schedule for your region in Part B of the Terms. Those rights survive everything below.
1. This is information, not advice
Everything on xypherseo.com, inside the plugin, inside the Chrome extension, and in our emails, videos, guides, and social posts is general information and education.
It is not professional advice. It is not legal advice, tax advice, financial advice, accounting advice, or medical advice.
Do not make a decision that affects your business, your money, or your legal position on the strength of something you read here alone. Talk to a professional who is licensed in your country and who knows your situation.
2. We do not promise rankings, traffic, or citations
This is the important one, so read it properly.
XypherSEO helps you do SEO, AEO, and GEO work well. It does not control the outcome of that work, because nobody does.
Your rankings depend on Google's algorithm. Your AI citations depend on how ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Claude, and others retrieve and cite sources. Those systems change constantly, they are not published, and they are not ours.
Your results also depend on things that have nothing to do with our software: your content quality, your domain history, your backlink profile, your competitors, your niche, your budget, and your patience.
So we do not guarantee, and we cannot guarantee:
- any specific ranking position
- any traffic number
- any click-through rate
- any impression volume
- any AI citation or brand mention
- any conversion rate
- any lead volume
- any revenue outcome
- any timeframe for any of the above
If any SEO tool, agency, or consultant guarantees you a ranking, they are either lying to you or they are about to get your site penalised. Possibly both.
2.1 About the numbers on our website
Any case study, statistic, chart, before-and-after screenshot, or testimonial on our website describes what happened for one specific site, at one specific time, in one specific market.
It is a description of the past, not a prediction of your future.
It is not typical. It is not average. It is not a promise. It is an example.
2.2 What we do stand behind
We stand behind the software doing what we say it does.
If we advertise a feature and that feature does not work, that is our problem and we will fix it, or refund you under Clause 8 of the Terms. That obligation is real, it is enforceable, and nothing in this Disclaimer removes it.
The line is simple. We are responsible for the tool working. We are not responsible for Google.
3. AI output: read it before you publish it
The plugin and the extension can generate AI output: meta descriptions, titles, schema, alt text, outlines, briefs, and suggestions.
That output is generated by Anthropic or OpenAI, using the API key you supplied, based on the content you sent.
AI output is probabilistic. That means it can be:
wrong, confidently and fluently wrong
incomplete
out of date
biased
generic
non-compliant with a regulation in your industry
similar to something someone else has written
You must review, verify, fact-check, and edit AI output before you publish it. Every time. Not just the first few times.
If you publish AI output without reading it, and it is wrong, and it harms your business or someone else's, that is on you.
3.1 What this does not disclaim
If we market an AI feature as producing a specific kind of output, and it does not produce that kind of output at all, that is a defect in our software, and your statutory rights to have it fixed, reduced in price, or refunded are not affected by this section.
We are disclaiming the accuracy of any individual AI generation. We are not disclaiming our obligation to supply a working feature.
4. Third-party AI providers
When you use AI features, you are using Anthropic or OpenAI under your own API key and your own account with them.
We are not a party to that relationship.
We are not responsible for their uptime, their pricing, their rate limits, their model changes, their content policies, their output, or their decision to suspend your account.
Their terms apply to your use of their service:
Anthropic: https://www.anthropic.com/legal/consumer-terms
OpenAI: https://openai.com/policies/terms-of-use
5. External links
Our website links to other websites.
We do not control them, we do not endorse them, and we are not responsible for what is on them, what they do with your data, or what happens if you buy from them.
Follow a link, and you have left our site and our responsibility.
6. Affiliate links and commissions
Some links on xypherseo.com are affiliate links. If you buy through one, we may earn a commission.
This does not increase what you pay. Not by a rupee, not by a cent.
We only link to things we would recommend anyway. But a recommendation is an opinion, not a warranty. We are not responsible for the third party's product, its performance, or its results for you.
Where the law requires us to disclose an affiliate relationship at the point of the link, we do.
7. Testimonials and reviews
Testimonials on our website are the honest opinion of the person who gave them, about their own experience.
They are not typical results. They are not a guarantee. They are not a prediction.
Where someone was given a free licence, a discount, or any other consideration in exchange for a review, we say so next to the review.
8. Trademarks
Google, Bing, ChatGPT, OpenAI, Perplexity, Gemini, Claude, Anthropic, WordPress, Yoast, Rank Math, AIOSEO, Surfer, Semrush, Ahrefs, and every other third-party name on our website belong to their owners.
We use them to describe what our software does and to compare it fairly. That is nominative fair use.
It does not mean they endorse us, sponsor us, are partnered with us, or have ever heard of us.
9. Errors
We try to keep everything accurate and current. We will get things wrong sometimes, and search algorithms change faster than documentation does.
We are not liable for an error, an omission, or an out-of-date statement in our content, to the maximum extent the law allows.
If you spot something wrong, tell us at Hello@xypherseo.com and we will fix it.
10. Forward-looking statements
Anything we say about our roadmap, upcoming features, or planned integrations is a statement of current intention.
Plans change. Features get cut. Timelines slip.
Do not buy XypherSEO for a feature that does not exist yet. Buy it for what it does today.
11. Limits on this Disclaimer
Nothing in this Disclaimer excludes or limits our liability for:
- death or personal injury caused by our negligence
- fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation
- gross negligence or wilful misconduct
- any liability that cannot be excluded under a law that applies to you
If you are a consumer in India, the EU, the EEA, the UK, Australia, or New Zealand, your statutory guarantees and conformity rights survive this entire document. See Part B of the Terms.
12. Governing law and jurisdiction
This Disclaimer forms part of the XypherSEO Terms and Conditions.
It is governed by the laws of India, and the courts at New Delhi, India have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of it.
This is subject to Clause 19.3 of the Terms, which honestly preserves the statutory forums that no contract can oust: an Indian consumer's right to file where they reside under Section 34(2)(d) of the Consumer Protection Act 2019, an EU, EEA, or UK consumer's right to sue at home, and an Australian or New Zealand consumer's access to their own courts.
Dispute resolution follows Clause 20 of the Terms: talk to us first, then arbitration seated in New Delhi administered by the Delhi International Arbitration Centre, with the arbitrator appointed by the institution.
